About Us

The Jay & Sari Sonshine Centre (JSSC) is a global leader in brain health and stroke prevention. Our team brings together clinicians, researchers, patients, and communities to find better ways to support brain health and recovery after stroke.

A big part of our work focuses on women’s brain health — an area that has historically been overlooked in stroke research and care. We believe the best solutions come from the people who live with these experiences every day. That’s why we work closely with people living with stroke and their care partners, partnering with them to co-design programs, research, and educational resources that truly reflect what women need for recovery, independence, and long-term brain health.

Our Vision

Our vision is to globally transform stroke prevention and access to brain care for all.

Our Aim

Our aim is to reduce the impact of age-related brain conditions on a global scale by empowering people and communities to adopt healthier lifestyles, one step at a time.

Who We Are

We are a dedicated team of clinicians, health care providers, people with lived experience, researchers and scientists united by common goals: to improve lives through the principles of lifestyle medicine and to create education and innovative models of brain care directed toward stroke and dementia prevention.

What We Do

We are developing community care models and enhancing educational experiences for communities to democratize access to stroke prevention and brain care for all. By continuously translating and mobilizing scientific knowledge, we lead the way in human potential and building community connections.

These initiatives not only advance clinical expertise but also foster academic growth and scientific proficiency, enriched by the invaluable insights of individuals with lived experiences.
